Every classroom can put its own unique spin on this special occasion, but the core set up is the same. A candle lit to represent the sun, cards with each month named fanned out around the “sun” to create a blueprint of the year. Each birthday child stands up in front of their classmates and then walks around the sun for each year lived, reflecting on what they were like that year and how things have changed today.
